Nonprofit Website Design

Inspiring Learning Through Play

The Project

Kidzu Children’s Museum, located in Chapel Hill, NC, is dedicated to inspiring children and their families through STEM education, the arts, child health, and emerging literacy. As a nonprofit, their website is a critical tool for engaging parents, schools, and donors—helping to drive museum visits, program participation, and community support.

The Problem

Kidzu’s existing website was outdated and not mobile-friendly, making it difficult for visitors to navigate and access important information. The site lacked a clear user journey, failing to effectively guide parents toward event registration or convert potential donors. Additionally, the absence of an integrated event calendar made it challenging for schools and families to book field trips, private events, and educational programs.

Our Solution

We designed a modern, user-friendly website that enhances accessibility, engagement, and conversions. Key improvements included:

  • A mobile-optimized design, ensuring seamless browsing on all devices.
  • A strategic content funnel, guiding visitors to key actions—whether attending events, booking visits, or donating.
  • An interactive event calendar, making it easy for users to explore and register for upcoming programs, field trips, and special events.

With a streamlined user experience and improved functionality, Kidzu’s new website now serves as a powerful resource for parents, educators, and donors—helping to expand their reach and impact in the community.
